Pavers

Pavers are modular outdoor surface units. They can be easier to repair than poured concrete, but their performance depends heavily on base prep, edge restraint, drainage, joint sand, and installation quality.

Definition

Pavers are individual concrete, porcelain, brick, or stone units installed over a prepared base to create driveways, patios, walkways, and pool decks.

Why it matters

When pricing pavers, compare material type, base depth, compaction, edge restraint, polymeric sand, sealing, and demolition instead of comparing square-foot price alone.
